More Leroy

I got a little taste for more Leroy Burgess since I posted the Black Ivory song a couple of days ago. Leroy Burgess, a true legend, involved, behind and singing on projects like The Fantastic Aleems, Logg, Slippery People, Bumblebee Unlimited, Convertion, Phreek and more. There are a lot of big producers out there but not many have been so consistent in delivering good dance music until today. So here's some songs with Leroy Burgess.

Ecstasy, Passion & Pain / Michael Henderson

I've been sleeping for a while on the blogside lately while I in reality have been traveling to Göteborg and watching and playing football (soccer for you americans out there). Anyway, to compensate you here's two golden tunes which I hope you'll like as much as I do.

Michael Henderson - Wide Receiver (Part I) /mediafire
from the 7" Wide Receiver (Buddah 1980)

Ecstasy, Passion & Pain - I Wouldn't Give You Up /mediafire
from the 7" I Wouldn't Give You Up / Don't Burn Your Bridges Behind You (Roulette 1974)

Cerrone featuring Jocelyn Brown- Hooked On You

Time for a classic!
The french king of disco recorded 1980 in New York at the Power Station with Jocelyn Brown on vocals. What could go wrong? Absolutely nothing. This is a disco monster!

Cerrone featuring Jocelyn Brown - Hooked On You /mediafire
from the LP Cerrone VII - You Are The One (Malligator 1980)

Henry Lumpkin - I've Got A Notion

I thought it was time for a motown moment once again since it's been a while since last time. This song is a song that stops the time for me. Whatever I'm doing I'll have to stop and just listen and sing-a-long to this beautiful piece. Written by George Fowler, Brian Holland and Robert Bateman. Produced by Berry Gordy. Ladies and gentleman, Henry Lumpkin.

Henry Lumpkin - I've Got A Notion /mediafire
from the 7" I've Got A Notion / We Really Love Each Other (Motown 1961)

Ahzz - New York's Movin'

I can't believe I missed putting this up before. This is an old favourite of mine which I thought I'd already put up here. Lucky for you I'm posting it now instead. Here's a real goldie that I had to pay alot of money for. Here you have both side A and B for free. Let me know what you think of it!
