I've been smoking too long

I just fell back into it. And while I was thinking about that last nite I played a couple of tunes for my own pleasure.

Been smoking too long mix 20070814 / zshare

Tracklist

T. Rex – Jeepster
David Bowie – Young Americans
The Rolling Stones – Hot Stuff
Tony Allen Hits with The Africa 70 – Hustler
Nationalteatern – Spisa
Sly & The Family Stone – Brave and Strong
Moodymann – Untitled
Common featuring Laetitia Sadier – New Wave
Dr. Octagon – A Visit to the Gynecologyst

And here's a little bonus for ya:
I found this VERY different mix of The Avalanches' Since I Left You album. Well, it's more than just a different mix, it's VERY different (and apparently rare) from the album. It's more like a really well done mixtape than a sample collage that the album was. It's supposed to be a bootleg and not made by The Avalanches, but it has got Bob Dylan as well as Ol Dirty Bastard in the mix. I think you'll enjoy it. I love it.

Gracias por la musica papa

When I was about 9 or 10 years old I found a treasure under my dad's childhood bed. It was a box full of 7" singles. It was here that my love for music and vinyl started. I heard so much beautiful music that I had never heard before. I came into a whole new world of existence. The records had been forgotten in that room for so many years just collecting dust. I took them all the way from Spain to Sweden. When I started to collect records for real I understood what a gold treasure my dad had left me. So here's a mix you don't often hear on blogs. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Post me a comment!

Gracias por la musica papa, te lo debo hasta que me muero.

Thank you dad for the music

The Basement Tapes

About 5 years ago I had a radio show back in Gothenburg called Soulsville GBG. When I was diggin' in the basement today I found the recorded shows from that period. Some of them are quite good. I'm talking in Swedish on the shows but the music is soul to the bone, so relax, have a listen and enjoy 2 of the shows. If you'd like to hear more I can put up more some other day. Take care...
