I went through my old back up discs today and found this edit that I hadn't listened to for a long time. I posted this a few years back, but it's worth postin again. So a big re-up for this classic Swedish hymn of Stockholm with Sweden's own Pugh Rogefeldt getting Göteborg edit from Qlint and Sankt Göran.

Autechre - Flutter

Here is a piece of electronic history for y'all. In november 1994 The Criminal Justice Act became law in UK. The law said that the police had the right to dissolve any gathering with more than 10 persons that listened to "music caracterised by repetitive beats". A couple of months before the law was passed Autechre released their Anti EP. The sticker got this text printed on it:

"Warning: Lost and Djarum contain repetitive beats. We advise you not to play these tracks if the Criminal Justice Bill becomes law. Flutter has been programmed in such a way that no bars contain identical beats and can therefore be played at 45 or 33 revolutions under the proposed law. However we advise DJs to have a lawyer and musicologist present at all times to confirm the non-repetitive nature of the music in the event of police harrassment.Important: By breaking this seal, you accept full responsibilty for any consequential action resulting from the product's use, as playing the music contained within these recordings may be interpreted as oppostion to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Bill."

I've been so into listening to early 90s songs lately, so because of that I haven't posted anything. Here's a piece of nineties nostalgia for y'all.

Disco's Transmission #4: Fernando

It's time for this month's Transmission. This time it is DJ and multi-instrumentalist Fernando Pulichino from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Except his own releases under his first name Fernando he has also released different stuff under the names Silver City, Ciudad Feliz and The Spirals together with Julian Sanza. He is also part of 2020Soundsystem together with Julian, Ralph Lawson and Danny Ward. I discovered him through his releases and edits on Redux and later discovered what a talented guy he was in so many ways. As well as releasing on Redux he has released his stuff on labels like Leng, International Feel, 2020Vision, Internasjonal (Prins Thomas label) and he is now working on an album to be released this year on Bearfunk. Now, it's time for you to discover him as well if you haven't done so already.
