There's not much that can affect you so much than true soul music. One of my all-time favourite soul songs is with the for most people unknown Toussaint McCall. "I'm undecided what I'm gonna do, can't see my baby when I want to." Is there any one who doesn't know how that feels. It definitely strikes a chord on my heartstrings anyway.
An interseting thing is that the cover for the album Nothing Takes The Place Of You that the song is taken from has a picture of a white couple which shows how present the race issue was in the music industry in 1967.
