Asso - Do It Again

Time for one of my finds in Spain. This song has been one of my favourites for a while now, but at last I have the 12" as well. This is a great song that is suited on a late night on the beach or at home while cooking. It's just a nice feelgood song with a phenomenal warm groovy sound. Enjoy!

Here's something a little different. This isn't dance music, not at all. Something that I'm weak for is good spanish music from the 60's and 70's and one of the greatest is the catalan singer and poet Joan Manuel Serrat. The rebel that released records in catalan even though it was forbidden during the regime of Franco to sing or talk in any other language than spanish or castellano as it is called. He even refused to sing in the Eurovision Song Contest because the authorities wouldn't let him sing in catalan. Because of that his records were banned and burned on the streets. A true catalan hero in other words. Here is three great songs. I hope you like it...

Here's some great stuff I got in my mail today. Acid Washed is a great electroduo from France. So the question is, do we really need this french electronic sound one more time? Absolutely! Play this loud in a great soundsystem and you will just love it! Electrofying!
On the 17th of september they will release their theme song on 12" and digitally of course with remixes by Daniel Haaksman, Digikid 84, Danger, Mickey Moonlight, The Hacker, Lazy Flow, Jungle Fiction and Stuff. Don't sleep on it....

Here's a 12" I picked up in Barcelona. I missed the oppurtunity to buy it when it came out so I just had to get my hands on it when I found it. The instrumental part that 50 Cent sampled on his first album is the part that got to me first, and then when the singing starts it's complete. Check this one out!

Vacaciones en España

It's been a long time since I posted anything here but it's because I've been on vacation for a while in España. It's been three lovely weeks with sightseeing in Barcelona, homemade paella with the family, oceanografico in Valencia and much more. 3 from 1: The Revenge

Hello friends!
Long time no see. I haven't been nice to you lately leaving you waiting so long for that good sweet music. Well, as they say, if you wait for something good...
Sometimes I catch myself thinking about how some things were much better back in the days, well they weren't actually, things get better all the time, but anyway... Do you for example remember when MTV used to play music videos? There were shows as Yo! MTV Raps and Chill Out Zone to name two. One show that I liked a lot was 3 from 1 where they showed three videos in a row by the same artist. So when I was dreaming about the past I thought, Why not do 3 from 1 posts since I don't have time to post stuff every day? Good idea, right?

Well, to get things started I'd like to pull this thing off with one of my absolute favourite producers since a couple of years back. The Revenge from Glasgow, Scotland. They have been doin' some heavy stuff in Glasgow lately. It doesn't matter if they take a disco classic by Michael Wycoff, megahits by Marvin Gaye or forgotten Stevie Wonder stuff. It all sounds great after The Revenge treatment. Here is three examples for you. Let's see what you think of these...
